Marilyn Margret Strauss Neidhardt, 88, of Wheeling passed away on Saturday October 12, 2019 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home.

She was born in Altoona, PA on May 6, 1931 daughter of the late Al and Ena (Rogers) Strauss.

Marilyn was a member of St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church. She met her husband Robert Neidhardt at a young age and married her life long friend on December 1, 1951.

Together they traveled abroad, made many friends and had wondrous adventures. She is from a family of bakers, doctors, tailors and seamstresses. She enjoyed sitting by the creek reading and watching her kids play. She was just an ole’ country girl with great friends and family who will always love her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Seleman and brother Thomas Edward Strauss.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Robert; children Robert (Kathy) Thomas Neidhardt, Kimberly (Stephen) Starcovic, Christopher (Marybeth) Neidhardt; grandchildren, Alyse Neidhardt, Sarah Starcovic, Angelica Starcovic, Adam Starcovic, Christopher (Jessica) Neidhardt, Joseph Neidhardt, Alexandra (Jarrett) Moore and sister Antonio (Harry) Murto.

Friends will be received on Thursday October 17, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St., Wheeling (304-242- 2311) with a Rosary Service at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday October 18, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, with Monsignor Paul Hudock as celebrant. Entombment will follow in the Mt. Calvary Mausoleum.
