Charles “Charley” Ray Jobes, 77, of Carnegie, PA, formerly of Moundsville, WV, passed away Tuesday October 29 at home.
Born May 23, 1942 in Middlebourne, WV, he was the son of the late Carl O. and Wanda K. Jobes.
Charles was a past Master (1982) of the Wetzel County Masonic Lodge No. 39, A., F. & A. M. He served his country honorably in the United States Navy from March 9, 1960 to May 15, 1963. He was a retired machinist for PPG Industries.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Angela Jobes, his son Charles Ray Jobes II and brother Lee Jobes.
Surviving are his long term companion whom he dearly loved, Mary Ann Wilkeson of Carnegie, PA who took wonderful care of Charley through his extended illness, his brother Ronald “Gene” Boor of Sistersville, WV, his stepchildren Angela (Brandon) Daly of Rocky Mount, NC and Eric (Nicole) Snodgrass of Belmont, OH.
A smart and caring man, Charley excelled at whatever he put his mind to. He took his responsibilities seriously, but also knew how to have a good time. His big heart lead him to help many others in times of crisis and to invest time and attention to his loved ones, even if not expected. He will be missed.
