He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra, his parents Lawrence and Mary Helen, and his brother, Lawrence.

He is survived by his children Jamie Bowsher (Stephen), James Stahl Jr. (Kathy), Kelly Day (Michael), Shannon Stahl (Kevin), and Shawnna Morris (Melvin).

In addition, he is survived by his grandchildren: Jared Contraguerro, Dominique Bradley, Alyssa McFarland, Jamel Morris, T’awnna Morris, Cara Stahl, Aiden Bradley, Judeah Morris, Trey Morris, Derek Bradley, Wei Day, and Yan Day.

He is also survived by his brothers Thomas, Philip, and Michael, and sisters Joan, Mary, Eileen, and Risa, as well as their spouses, nieces, and nephews.

He was a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals fan and was retired from Verizon (Bell Telephone). Friends will be received on Sunday, November 10 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Elm Grove Chapel, 154 Kruger St., Wheeling, where a funeral service will be celebrated on Monday, November 11 at 11 a.m.

Entombment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.
