Helen Jean (Hadom) Cuchta, 87, of Moundsville, WV, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2019, at Wheeling Continuous Care Center.

She was born August 17, 1932, a daughter of the late John and Magdeline (Tomas) Hadom. Helen was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and a retired housekeeper from Reynolds Memorial Hospital.

In addition to her parents, Helen is preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph S. Cuchta Jr. (2019); three brothers, Max, John and Frank Hadom; and two sisters, Claire and Pauline Hadom.

Helen is survived by three children, Joseph (Barbara) Cuchta of Moundsville, Darlene (Pete) Paliswat of Shadyside, OH and Debra Robinson of Sunbury, OH; one brother, Anthony Hadom of McMechen, WV; two sisters, Blanche Hadom of McMechen and Louise (Victor) Zavolas of Pittsburgh, PA; seven grandchildren, Thomas (Brittany) Cuchta, Michelle (Justin) Copley, Amanda (Kyle) Schwarz, John Cuchta, Ashley Robinson, Andrea Robinson and Andrew Robinson; three great-grandchildren, Lydia Cuchta, Mahala Cuchta and Ayden Copley; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received Thursday, December 12, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at Altmeyer Funeral Homes, Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Ave., Moundsville. Mass of Christian burial will be Friday, December 13, at noon at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Fr. That Son Ngoc Nguyen officiating. Entombment to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
