Albert L. Hohman, 88, of Proctor, WV, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at his home.

He was born January 9, 1932 in Proctor, WV, the son of the late Clem and Hilda Montgomery Hohmann.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War; a retired forklift operator at Ormet Corporation and a farmer; a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, American Legion Post 28 of New Martinsville and Moose Lodge 931 of New Martinsville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth Hohman and Edwin Hohmann, and nephew, Ron Hohman.

Survivors include his wife of 59 1/2 years, Mary Hohman; one son, Joe (Debi) Hohman of Proctor, WV; one daughter, Diane (Jason Oszust) Hohman; a brother, Donald Hohman; two sisters, Isabelle Parikh and Mary Eller; two grandsons, Derek and Aaron Wright; special granddaughter, Patience Marie Hohman; and several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends Friday, January 24, 2020 from 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 751 Third St., New Martinsville, where Rosary devotions will be recited at 6 p.m. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 65 Frohnapfel Lane, Proctor, WV with Fr. Kevin Quirk as celebrant.

Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery with military honors.
