Nila Jean Frohnapfel, 79, of St Joseph’s Settlement, died Friday, August 7, 2020 in Cameron Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born August 13, 1940 in Cameron; the daughter of the late Floyd Donald and Mary Porter Clark.

She was a farmer, former employee of Glen Dale Animal Hospital, part-time assessor, and caregiver; a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Joseph Women’s Club, the Homemakers, and Women in Ag; and was a 4-H leader.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Benedict “Ben” Frohnapfel; a granddaughter, Abigail “Abby” Frohnapfel; three siblings, Patricia Ann Knowler, Floyd R. Clark, and Mary Jo Oakland.

Survivors include three daughters, Amelia (Dan) Francis of Moundsville, Carolyn (Scott) Harris of Blake’s Ridge, Betty (Bob) Robison of McDonald, PA; a son, Clem (Brenda) Frohnapfel of St. Joseph’s Settlement; six grandchildren, Chad Whetzel, Shelby (Kenny) Mayhugh, Heather Robison, Marshall Robison, Abel Frohnapfel, and Andrew Frohnapfel; several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends on Monday from 4-7 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home and Crematory, 400 Jefferson Ave., Moundsville, where Rosary Devotions will be recited at 7 p.m.

Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 64 Frohnapfel Lane, Proctor, with Fr. Kevin Quirk as celebrant.

Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, St. Joseph’s Settlement.
