Our Dad, Jack F. Hinerman, 87 years old, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on January 7, 2021. He was born on November 19, 1933 in Woodland, WV.
Dad was a decorated, Airborne combat veteran in the Korean War and a member of the Washington Lands United Methodist Church.
Dad was welcomed into Heaven by his parents, Orval and Ellen Hinerman; his older siblings, Wilda Conner, Buzz Hinerman, Norma Lee Willis, Lonnie Hinerman, and infant sister Margarite Hinerman; plus many friends who went before him.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Ruth Ann “Ruthie” (Utter) Hinerman, and his children, Jackie (Ken) Cunningham, Bud (Karen) Hinerman, Bill (Andrea) Hinerman, and Becky Hinerman. He was a loving Pap to many grand- and great-grandchildren. Dad is also survived by his younger brother, Robert D. (Cheryl) Hinerman of Blacksville, WV and many nieces and nephews whom Dad loved immeasurably.
For those wishing to pay respects to Dad and the family, viewing will begin at 11 a.m. and the service will begin at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 118 Grant Ave., Moundsville, W.Va.
“Woop, woop, woop!” as dad would say, do not enter the funeral home without a mask. In accordance with the West Virginia guidelines and the wishes of the family, masks are required at the viewing and at the service. We sincerely regret that due to the present circumstances, we cannot offer a bereavement dinner after the service.
