Anna “Annie” Delores (Siewny) Comas, entered eternal rest in her 100th year on August 12, 2022, while under the gentle and loving care of the staff at WVU Continuous Care Center, Wheeling.

She was born December 2, 1922, and a lifelong resident of Wheeling, WV, daughter of the late George and Anna (Bliss) Siewny.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Theodore Comas and her brothers and sisters, Michael, Mary Kuschak, Eva Varcelli, Alex, John Sr., George and Walter.

Surviving are several nieces and nephews, extending down to a great-great-great nephew.

Anna was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Ukrainian Catholic Church and a long-time member of the church’s pierogi makers. She was formerly employed by Hazel Atlas of Wheeling until their closing, She spent the rest of her days caring for family members, neighbors and pets, although she wasn’t blessed with children of her own, she was a caregiver for many.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, August 17, from 6-8 p.m. at Care Funeral & Cremation Service, 3828 Jacob Street, Wheeling, where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt Calvary Cemetery.
