Janie was born March 27, 1936, in Cleveland, OH. She was the adopted daughter of Fred and Mildred Zednik, who settled in Wheeling during the Flood of ’36 and lived in the Woodsdale (Edgington Lane) area all of her life.

She was also a member of Christian Mothers, a Cub Scout and Girl Scout leader for many years.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur E. Wiley on April 24, 2019; two sons, Billy, and Michael Wiley.

Surviving Janie is her son, Thomas E. Wiley (Holly); three daughters, Karen A. Bates (Robert), Pamela M. Caldwell (Keith), and Dianna M. Harris (Chris), all of Wheeling; eleven grandchildren, Ricky Koch, Julie White (David), Nathan Bates, Justin and Sean Caldwell, Olivia, Spencer (Hannah), Isaac, and Max Wiley, Zachary and Ava Harris; and three great grandchildren, Hunter Koch, Jacob White, and Malia Wiley.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Good Shepherd Nursing Home Chapel with Father Paul Cabrita as celebrant, followed by interment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
