MARY SATTERFIELD
Mary Ruth (Rine) Satterfield, age 85, of Bethesda, OH, formerly of Hundred, WV died February 9, 2025 at home, surrounded by her children.
She was born October 24, 1939 at Glen Easton, WV. She was the daughter of the late James (Ross) and Freda (Harris) Rine.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Francis Satterfield: one grandson, Robie Satterfield; and three brothers, Lloyd, Floyd and Glenn Rine.
Survivors include one brother, Elmer Rine of Sherrard, WV, four children: Terrie (Mike) Gaston of Bethesda, OH, Beth (Perry) Condit of Cullman, AL, Tom (Rachel) Satterfield of Chapmanville, WV and Sally (Scott) McDiffitt of Bethesda, OH; fourteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Ruth Loved the Lord and her family. She knew the greatest commandments (Matt. 22:37-40) and spent her time on Earth doing her best to fulfill them. She had a great love for the church. She never failed to include the leaders of the church in her prayers, hoping for strong leadership based on God’s word.
When you met Ruth, you couldn’t help but to be moved by her compassion for others. You were always welcomed into her home for a meal or a game of cards. Ruth was a shining example of a Christian wife and mother.
Family will receive friends on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8pm at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 400 Jefferson Ave., Moundsville where funeral services will be held Friday at 10am with Steve Stevens officiating.
Interment in Salem Cemetery, Glen Easton.
