Helen “Darlene” McGowan, 86, of Wellsburg, WV passed away October 30, 2023, in Minerva, OH. She was born March 30, 1937, in East Liverpool, OH to the late George Myers and Helen Nagy Myers. She retired from Weirton Medical Center and Home Health, and she was a participant in activities of the Osiris Shriners of Wheeling and the Northern Panhandle Shrine Club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John “Buck” McGowan, son Jay Crawford and sister Joyce Willingham. James Benton Means, 72, of Paden City, WV died at his home on Monday, October 30, 2023. James was born in Charleston, WV on September 1, 1951, son of the late Leroy Jack and Launa Mae (Harrah) Means.
