We’re Not Too Old!

Editor, News-Register:

Where do they get off saying we are too old to govern? What malarkey!

I will be 82 in June and I will be damned if I will be relegated to a nursing home or wherever they want us to go and die. Forget it!

We are here to fight for our children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We are here to protect the values of our constitution and the rule of law demanded by our constitution. We are here to save the planet from global warming, war, hate and Trump.

Our great matriarchs and patriarchs are in great demand — needed more than ever — to teach our children our great values.

We will not be silent and we can and will still march (even with our canes and walkers and wheelchairs) and peacefully assemble and fight for the Bill of Rights.

I am so thankful for Nancy Pelosi, Bernie Sanders, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and all of our other septuagenarians (70-80), octogenarians (80-90), and nonagenarians (90-100) that demonstrate outstanding, loving leadership everyday.

Those that practice ageism — prejudice against the elderly — should know their day is coming.

Watch the salt and sugar. And be well and happy.
