Delegate Hornbuckle Truly Inspirational
Many of us have concerns from time to time about how our state legislators handle the public’s business. But there can be no question about whether one, House of Delegates member Sean Hornbuckle, D-Cabell, is a good man.
Hornbuckle missed the first few days of the annual 60-day session of the Legislature — but he had an excellent excuse.
Hornbuckle, 34, has a younger sister who suffered a serious kidney disease. She needed someone to donate one to be implanted in her body.
Her big brother obliged, possibly saving her life.
That caused him to miss a few days of the session. When he returned Tuesday, it was to a bipartisan standing ovation from fellow delegates. We agree. Talk about an inspirational public servant …
