East Ohio Not Out Of Woods, Either
While West Virginians seem to be experiencing somewhat of a resurgence of COVID-19, East Ohio may be on the mend. The past week has shown a gratifying decrease in cases — except for the state prison in Belmont County, where 62 inmates and staff members remain on the sick list.
But precisely because we in this area have never let the Ohio River divide us, there is need for caution in Belmont, Jefferson, Monroe and Harrison counties. It would take no more than one person, unaware he or she is carrying the virus, to cause a resurgence in East Ohio.
With a cumulative total of more than 670 cases of the disease in East Ohio, residents there are fully aware of the hazard. Keeping up the good work will pay off.
