Doing More To Stop COVID
The worst of COVID-19 may be ahead of us in West Virginia and Ohio. The Mountain State death toll soared by 17 during the weekend and another 16 Monday. Ohio has recorded an average of 21 deaths a day for the past three weeks.
So serious has the situation become that Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine has scheduled just his second statewide address of the epidemic. He was scheduled to speak at 5:30 p.m. today.
In West Virginia, Gov. Jim Justice continues to plea for people to do all in our power to limit the virus’ spread.
Look around. Many people in both our states are not doing that.
This is not “fake news.” It is not a political ploy. People are dying from COVID-19 — and beyond doubt, some of their lives could have been spared had more people been more conscientious about preventing the disease from spreading.
Why on earth can’t we be united in at least that?
