Moving on I-70 Work
Swank Construction has made great progress over the past 15 months with the I-70 Bridges Project, and workers currently are finishing up a much-deserved extended break for the holidays. It will be good to see them return later this month to continue their torrid pace in getting the bridges on the interstate repaired.
The three-year, $215 million project is now entering its second phase, and one of the big projects on deck is the eastbound side of the Fulton Bridge. This will lead to traffic changes that will be announced in the coming weeks. While the project has been an inconvenience at times, Swank and state Division of Highways officials have kept the traffic issues to a minimum. We thank them for that, and wish them good weather as they return to work this month.
