I-70 Reopening Welcome
The news that Interstate 70 eastbound just outside the Wheeling Tunnel is set to reopen by the end of this month is welcome, particularly with two major events on the horizon at Oglebay Park — Oglebayfest and the annual Winter Festival of Lights.
Swank Construction has continued to meet its deadlines with the massive, $215 million Interstate 70 Bridges project. That’s welcome news for area travelers given the construction fiascoes we experienced in the past.
The project is nearing its final phases, and soon the detours and delays will be a memory. Swank and its workers deserve our thanks for making this as painless as possible.
