Slow Down and Save a Life

For the second time in about a month, a fatal traffic accident has taken place on Interstate 70 east near the West Virginia/Pennsylvania state line. A construction zone starts there, and the combination of vehicles speeding up the hill in Pennsylvania at the state line, and large trucks slowed down in the same area right as it narrows down into one lane, is leading to trouble.

Ohio County Sheriff Thomas Howard put it best when describing the issue of speeding cars, slow-moving trucks and a single lane: “It may look like that tractor-trailer is moving slowly, but there’s a possibility it might be completely stopped,” he said.

Please, slow down and take your time. Getting in a hurry to move five or six cars up in line is not worth risking your life — or the life of someone else.
