-To Ohio County Sheriff’s Department Cpl. Dave Drahos and Sgt. Chad Clatterbuck for their work as school resource officers here in Ohio County. Those efforts earned them the honor of West Virginia Prevention Resource Officer of the Year and West Virginia Prevention Resource Officer Community Service Award, respectively, for their effort with students.

Drahos is the PRO at the Warwood School. “DJ is a huge part of our school community,” Warwood School Principal Joey Subasic said. “I can’t imagine life without him at this point.”

Clatterbuck serves at Wheeling Park High School, where Principal Meredith Dailer said he is an “integral” part of the school. “He has an incredible relationship with our students and is always available to our staff and helps whenever he is needed,” she said.

We need more deputies like Drahos and Clatterbuck working with our students. Congratulations!
