Supporting Barton VFD

Editor, News-Register:

The Barton Volunteer Fire Department is pleased to announce our 25th annual Polkafest, held on Aug. 5, was a huge success. To continue to serve our community efficiently, we are currently developing plans to build a new fire station. The proceeds from this recent fundraiser will be used toward that goal.

We have many people to thank for our success. We wish to acknowledge our loyal supporters who come from near and far for a great day of polka music and good food. Your support year after year is appreciated.

The Barton VFD is also grateful to our local media for excellent coverage prior to the event. Informing the residents of surrounding areas of this fundraiser surely contributed to our increased attendance.

Annually we depend on our faithful volunteers to help with this event. Thanks go out to our loyal membership, our cadet corps, and local community members who volunteered their time and talent to contribute to a special 25th anniversary year.

We realize endeavors such as this can only be accomplished with tremendous community support. We, therefore, thank our sponsors and all contributors who provided money, goods and services. You have helped to make this festival the success it was. Your support of our volunteer fire department is greatly appreciated.

Thanks again to all who support our fundraisers. Your continued support helps us inch our way closer to our ultimate goal — a new station to serve our fire district and provide mutual aid to surrounding communities.
