Festival of Lights Is World-Class Event
Oglebay Park’s 33rd annual Winter Festival of Lights kicked off last Thursday — and it is a case in which the overused “bigger and better” description is accurate.
About a million light bulbs make the festival’s nearly 100 displays glow brightly, in more ways than one. The event is known internationally, drawing an estimated 1 million visitors a year to our area.
Oglebay Park is a true jewel in our area, in many ways. Residents of cities much larger than Wheeling have reason to be envious of what we have at the park. The lights festival puts it all on display.
Congratulations again, then, to all involved!
