Have you noticed? obie keeps saying this has to be fixed, but keeps coming up with proposals he knows will not work. But somehow, it's only the GOP that have to act like adults.

I strongly suggest taking his position. Admit they don't have a good idea and ask for his proposals, say "that won't work, so come up with something else". Do it a dozen times.

Unfortunately, once again the spaghetti-spined leadership will cave again. Haven't they figured out no matter what happens, they will be blamed? And the next election is a long way off Better to do it now, rather than next year. It might actually do some good.

Thebudman- Appears that something has to be done. Our court system is so broken that all that is done for serious crimes is to turn them loose or feed them for the rest of their lives at taxpayer expense.

@acoustic. So, are we to assume you condone the killing of Americans on American soil without due process?

The problem remains that the President has since his first day in office, disdained working within the American government system. The demonizing of Congress is part of that process and is an alibi for a POTUS using 1100 Executive Orders (more than all previous Presidents combined). The cost of government has exceeded our ability to pay for it. NOW, the President wants to have a meeting? Thats what leadership is, communicating. Only dictators refuse to compromise or even listen. There is a reason that the GOP controls the House. The people put them in office. So many Obama supporters feel that Obama should crush dissent by force, but the American system allows people to have a direct voice via the Congress, and we can change the Reps every two years. Obama had a total Dem Congress when took office, for two entire years, and was unable to work with even a Dem Congress. It cannot go on this way.

Actually I have no problem with Drones. I believe that we have a serious problem not killing enough of our(US)enemies , foreign and domestic and we doint kill enough criminals, foreign and domestic.

A drone would have done quite well in getting Christopher Dorner.

Concerning Rand Paul and drones used on violent Americans...

Is it not interesting that the party who has separated America, who has voiced opposition paramount to treason, who advocates war, violence, and prejudice, who adamantly believes in the right for any citizen to own assault weapons, who have threatened violent revolution, who tout "lock & load".....would be the ones opposing the use of drones....kind of like Bin Laden opposing the global war against terrorism.

How does 1 penney from each DOLLAR cause a government shutdown?

We are watching a bunch of spending (CR*ACK) Addicts voting on their addiction.

As Benjamin Franklin said, "Democracy is two wolves and a lamb discussing what is for dinner!"

US Taxpayer is on the menu every night, umm umm ummmmmmhhhh!
