I certainly agree with your take on the media blitz. At numerous times, we saw reporters and networks unable to contain themselves and making wild statements (the story of the arrest that never happened for one) and show "action video" of officers surround an address, fully aware that there could be a terrorist on the other side of the door who is watching the police on televsion. But the*****for "being first" overwhelmed accuracy and safety. Though the reporters would often interject praise for the police, they knew full well that they were putting them at risk, so they seemed to want to defuse their horrid conduct. And the talking heads who had nothing to say, of dubious credentials and happy to have air time to promote themselves. Someone watching on TV would have known just when to detonate an explosive to kill the most police officers. We have lost our minds along with the media who now sells us news rather than reports it.
