The concept of shifting Ormet's electric bill to the public will never be approved. This would be a form of tax on the public to support a private business. To do this Ormet would have to be publically owned with profits -if any- going back to the public.

the situation at Ormet is much like the one at Century which is now closed. Ormet will not make it either.

It appears as thought Ormet will not be able to dodge this one. That they operate with a deal that has residential customers all across Ohio sharing in their electric costs is probably not going to make it through the PUCO hearings. Anti industry people will see to that. It looks bad for Ormet and worse for Monroe County.
