dying gov, why do the lawmakers not include themselves in drug tests ? They should be held accountable. Better yet we all should have to be tested weekly to make sure we don't jeopardize others.

clueless, I posted this the last time you were ranting!

KEY WEST, Fla. — "A federal judge on Tuesday struck down as unconstitutional a Florida law that required welfare applicants to undergo mandatory drug testing, setting the stage for a legal battle that could affect similar efforts nationwide.

Judge Mary S. Scriven of the United States District Court in Orlando held that the testing requirement, the signature legislation of Gov. Rick Scott, a Republican who campaigned on the issue, violated the protection against unreasonable searches.

“The court finds there is no set of circumstances under which the warrantless, suspicionless drug testing at issue in this case could be constitutionally applied,” she wrote. The ruling made permanent an earlier, temporary ban by the judge."

Liberal progressives.....

The drug testing program for welfare recipients in Florida is an abject FAILURE costing the taxpayers far more than it is saving them.

Testing everyone who gets money from the gov't. Corporations get far more money than citizens so let's test the top management of these company's that have their hands out for Tax Incremental Finance money, all companys that receive subsidies from the Gov't. CEO's, Chairpersons of the Board and all upper mgt. Now who is going to pay for all of these drug tests?

And is there any wonder why liberal "Progressive" Demorats oppose drug laws? Have another toke, BushWhiner, WVcougher. Your Choomer in Chief is looking out for your stash. LOL

ugly , I agree with you if testing is to be done. But personally I feel no one should be drug tested. Maybe all the billionaires should be tested publicly. Maybe we should concentrate on having jobs for people to go to.

lol..i totally agree with the drug testing for any one on welfare but i am also totally lumping in all of the politicians as well. governors, senators, congressmen, state representatives, etc. If your on the government payroll, hand out roll then you should be tested. this has been brought up many times and it dies the same way every time because as soon as you ask the politicians to do the same the bill dies there. So..please..governor, senators, congressman. include your self in the bill, be a roll model and HELP THE CHILDREN!!!!!
