James Leech

LEECH, James Robert "Bob," 67, of Wheeling, WV, died Sunday, November 4, 2012 in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA.

He was born December 17, 1944 in Wheeling, WV, the son of Margery Mitchell Leech of Bethlehem, WV, and the late Harry Leech.

Mr. Leech was a heavy equipment operator for the West Virginia Department of Highways and a member of the Dallas Pike United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Elm Grove Eagles Aeries 1891, a member of the Elm Grove Eagles Riders and a member of the American Legion Post 1.

His greatest joy was spending time with his family. Bob was an enthusiastic fan for the Pittsburgh Steelers and WVU Mountaineers, loved a good euchre game and enjoyed cooking. Always had a smile and a kind word for everyone he met.. Could spin a story like no other.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ivan Leech.

In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife of 36 years, Pamala Kaye Norwood Leech; a daughter, Beth Ann Meszaros and her husband, John of Wintersville, OH; a son, Brian Leech and his wife, Rend'ee of Wheeling; a sister, Mary Esther Caldwell of Wheeling; a brother, Dr. H. William Leech and his wife, Amy of Barnesville, OH; three grandchildren, Jeffrey, Amber and Brianna Meszaros; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at the Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St., Wheeling (304-242-2311) where service will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Cindy Murphy and the Reverend Kenneth Hardway officiating. Interment in Mount View Cemetery, Dallas, WV where the Moundsville Veteran Honor Guard will conduct military graveside services.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Elm Grove Eagle Riders, 2153 National Road, Wheeling, WV 26003.
