YOCUM, Elsie M. Barbaley, 91, of Kirkwood Heights, Bridgeport, Ohio, died Saturday, March 2, 2013, in Liza's Place, Wheeling, WV.
She was born February 13, 1922, in Yorkville, OH, daughter of the late John and Caroline Zambo Barbaley.
She was a retired executive secretary at Continental Can, Wheeling, WV and Sylvania Electric.
Elsie loved painting, music, playing the organ, reading, gardening and cooking.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Barbaley; a sister, Irene Barbaley Pak; two brothers-in-law, John Pak Jr, and Frank Lollini; a sister-in-law, Irene Barbaley Pak; nephew, Luke Lollini; her beloved pets, Casey, PeeWee and Buffy.
Surviving are her devoted husband of 68 years are Sherwood "Sam" N. Yocum; a brother, Louis Barbaley, Yorkville, OH; a sister, Caroline "Cal" Lollini, formerly of Yorkville, now living in Cuyahoga Falls, OH; two nieces, Jonette Pak (Richard) Lazasz and Patty (Hugh) Daniels; four nephews, Lance (Patty) Lollini, John (Pam) Barbaley, Marty (Catol) Barbaley and James Barbaley; a great-niece, Jodie Lazasz Stewart; four great- nephews, Rich (Colleen) Lazasz, Eric Barbaley and Chris and Jay Lollini; 10 great-nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received to pay tribute to Elsie and celebrate her life on Tuesday from 3-7 p.m. at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tom Thomas officiating. Entombment in Holly Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Pleasant Grove, OH.
