MORRIS, Catherine D. "Kay," 96, of McMechen, W.Va., died Monday, March 18, 2013 in OVMC.

She was born May 19, 1916, in Adrian, W.Va., a daughter to the late Joseph and Mary (Cuchran) Yendrall.

She worked for Marsh Wheeling Stogies, Pollock's Tobacco, and Bloch Brothers in Wheeling, W.Va. While in her 80's, she received her G.E.D. from John Marshall High School. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church in McMechen.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson G. Morris; four brothers, John, Joe, Albert, and Eddie Yendrall; and five sisters, Cecelia "Zelma" McDonald, Emily Marchlenski, Elizabeth "Bea" Corbin, Mary Lucky, and Anna Burger.

She is survived by one son, Charles and Clara (Beucke) Morris of Benwood, W.Va.; three grandchildren, Brian and Elaine (Bigelow) Morris of Benwood, Linda and Dave Fabrizio of Fish Creek, W.Va., and Scott and Amy (Jones) Morris of Wheeling; eight great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Thomas Marchlen.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 from 4-8 p.m. and on Thursday March 21, 2013 from 4-8 p.m. at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Benwood-McMechen Chapel, 214 Marshall Street, McMechen.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 22, 2013 at 11 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, in McMechen, with Rev. Bekeh Utietiang as celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.
