Dorothy Rouse

ROUSE, Dorothy L. (Perdue), 79, of Wellsburg, WV, passed on Sunday, March 17, 2013, at her home.

Dorothy was born on April 21, 1933, in Beech Bottom, WV. She was the daughter of the late Wilbert and Barbara (Wanner) Perdue.

Dorothy worked as Secretary for Building and Grounds at Bethany College. She was a member of the Wellsburg First Church of God. Dorothy enjoyed concerts, playing cards, and any beach; but most of all, she loved her family. She made everyone who knew her feel like they were an important part of the family.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Rouse in 2012; a son, Robert Michael Rouse in 1997; two brothers, Robert and Olen Perdue; and two sisters, Mabel Bogard and Virginia Eddy.

Dorothy is survived by three devoted sons, John Rouse and his wife Anne of Pickerington, OH, Thomas Rouse of Wellsburg, WV, and James Rouse and his wife Beth of Knoxville, TN; six loving grandchildren, eight cherished great-grandchildern, and several nieces and nephews.

Dorothy donated her remains to education and research to the West Virginia University.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2013, from 3:00 p.m. until time of Memorial Service at 3:30 p.m. at the Wellsburg First Church of God, Bethany Pike, 0.5 miles on Route 67, Wellsburg, WV, with Pastor James Seabright officiating.

Inurnment will be held privately next to her husband at Highland Hills Memorial Gardens, Follansbee, WV

Donation to Science and Memorial Gathering are under the direction and care of the Chambers Funeral Home, 1030 Main Street, Wellsburg, WV (304) 737-3551.
