Norman Yeager

YEAGER, Norman Reed, of Lawton, OK., formerly of Wellsburg, died Sunday, March 24, 2013, of a heart attack.

Norman was born January 14, 1949, to the late Edwin and Martha Brennan Yeager, of RT. 88, Wellsburg.

Also, preceding him in death are his sister, Maria (2005) and her husband Larry Cooper (2010); brother-in-law, Kenneth A. Sheeran; his wife Clara's sister, Carol; brother, Bill; and father-in-law, Elmer Rosier.

Surviving are his wife, Clara; mother-in-law, Ada Rosier, of Lawton; brother, Robert Yeager (Golden Oaks, Follansbee); sisters, Mary Sheeran, of El Paso, TX., and Beverly (W.W.) Craft, of Wellsburg; also many nieces, nephews and two great-nephews.

He served 20 years in the Army as a medic, (Vietnam/Korea), after retirement, he worked for 11 years at Reynolds Community Hospital on the pediatric ward.

He enjoyed 43 years of marriage to his "Peachy" and together they rescued a countless number of homeless, abandoned dogs; all of whom quickly became their much loved "children."

He was laid to rest in Ft. Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, OK. Our world has sadly lost "quite a character."
