OV Rib Cook-Off June 28-29

WHEELING - The 2013 Ohio Valley Rib & Chicken Cook-Off will be held June 28-29 at Wheeling Heritage Port, 12th and Water streets.

Food and craft vendors will begin selling at noon Friday and Saturday. The festival offers lip-smacking, finger-licking ribs and moist, juicy chicken prepared by local vendors alongside eateries from Columbus, Cleveland and Pittsburgh.

Other summertime favorites include freshly squeezed lemonade, funnel cakes, hot dogs, roasted corn and beer.

Free music and entertainment starts at 3 p.m. and continues until 11 p.m. both days. All Year Sports Galaxy Inflatables will be setting up some of the latest equipment available. And there will be many craft vendors selling wares along with informational booths.
