Frank Kinney

KINNEY, Frank Donald, 87, of Alvy departed this life Thursday, December 5, 2013, at his home.

He was born May 27, 1926, in Tyler County, a son of the late Frank and Irene Davis Kinney.

Don was a former employee of Wadsworth Brothers and PA Railroad. He was a retired employee of Eureka Pipeline. He was United States Army Veteran having served in WW II. He loved to hunt and fish, not only could he catch the biggest whopper, he could also tell it.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Kinney; sisters, Phyllis Glover, Peg Noland; and infants, Kathleen and Norma Jean Kinney; a grandson, Michael Kinney.

Don is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marguerite Wadsworth Kinney; children, Ed (Lynna) Kinney, Paul (Cheryl) Kinney, Juanita (Keith) Weedon, Larry (Francis) Kinney, Keith (Laura) Kinney, Kevin Kinney and Patty (Frank) Simons; a brother, Bob Kinney; sisters, Edith Winkhart, Grace Stackpole and Jane Dotson; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received Saturday 4-8 p.m. at Furbee Funeral Home, Route 18, Tyler, where services will be held 11 a.m. Sunday with Pastor Robert Metz officiating.

Interment in Long Cemetery, Pine Grove, WV.
