BARNESVILLE–St. Clairsville busted out of the gates on a 26-0 run and never looked back in taking down host Barnesville 64-28.
Mary Malin paced the offensive attack with three 3-pointers, finishing with 18 points.
Teammate Maria Vincenzo added 11 points in the victory.
Annie Carpenter led the Shamrocks with 11 points.
Martins Ferry 78, Edison 22
MARTINS FERRY — Richella Spielvogel scored 26 points and grabbed 12 rebounds and Madison Ging added 22 markers as Martins Ferry debuted with a girls’ basketball victory over visiting Edison on Tuesday night inside Tolbert Gymnasium high atop the Purple City.
The Purple Riders sprinted to a 24-0 lead after one quarter and led 39-8 at the half.
Jaden Stalder contributed 11 points while freshmen Maria Clark (7) and Allarah Jones (6) teamed for 13.
Beallsville 68, Frontier 24
BEAVERTON — Ashlie Louden poured in a game-high 33 points as Beallsville moved to 2-0 with a big victory against Frontier.
Ashley Howell added nine points for the Blue Devils, who had seven players dent the scoring column.
