Brooke Dominates Tyler Consolidated

WELLSBURG — Five Brooke players all scored two goals as the Bruins defeated Tyler Consolidated,12-2 in prep boys soccer action on Senior Night at Brooke High School. Josh Ferguson, Eddie Marks, Liam Cronin, Hunter Adams and Juan Gotor Blaine all found the back of the net twice for the Bruins while Blaise Buchmelter and Jaden Studebaker each tallied one goal.

Marks also dished out four assists while Cronin compiled three. Both Ferguson and Kendrick Fish had two.

Jeremy Gilchrist tallied four saves for Brooke.

For the Silver Knights, Trevor Dobson and Zach Placer each had a goal while Brody Seckman secured 15 saves.

John Marshall 1

WEIRTON — Bella Apperfine tallied two goals and two assists to lead Weir to a victory against John Marshall.

Ava Taylor and Julia Gladowski also had a goal and assist for the Red Riders (9-5-3) while Alexis Adams had five saves.

For the Monarchs (6-8-1), Zara Zervos scored their lone goal and Isabella Anderson had six saves.

Tyler Consolidated

MIDDLEBOURNE — Regan Smith stuffed the stat sheet with 15 kills, four blocks, eight digs, eight points, 44 sets and 15 assists, but Tyler Consolidated fell to Ritchie County.

Caleigh Phillips was also solid for the Silver Knights (11-14) as she compiled 14 kills, 10 digs, four points, 56 sets and 14 assists while Victoria Hood gathered nine kills, six blocks, six digs, three aces and six points.

Paden City d. St. Marys 25-12, 25-6, 25-14

PADEN CITY — Hope Weber compiled 11 points, 12 kills, eight assists and seven blocks as Paden City defeated St. Marys.

Mallory Yeater was also solid for the Wildcats (25-4) as she recorded 22 points, five aces, eight kills, 21 assists and 11 digs while Cora Anderson had six points, three aces and 11 digs.

Tanley McEldowney had three points and 18 digs.
