PREP FOOTBALL ROUNDUP: Oak Glen Escapes Harrison Central

NEW CUMBERLAND — Nick Chaney threw for 108 yards and a touchdown, while Paxton Shuman tallied 102 yards on the ground as Oak Glen edged Harrison Central, 26-21, on Friday night.

Gage Patterson raced for 96 yards and a score and Hunter Patterson added 91 yards and a score on the ground for the unbeaten Golden Bears.

River 60, Bridgeport 6

HANNIBAL — Stone Thompson completed seven of his 10 passes for 137 yards in a River blowout of Bridgeport.

Tailback Michael Johnson needed just two carries to put up 134 yards and a touchdown.

Cayden Williams garnered 130 yards and a score on the ground for the Bulldogs.

ST. CLAIRSVILLE — Jacob Jordan delivered 109 yards rushing and a pair of touchdowns as St. Clairsville dominated Union Local.

Tyler Tonkovich threw for 89 yards and two touchdowns, while Jacksan Price fired for 89 yards and a score for the Jets.

BARNESVILLE — Caden Lake had a breakout game for Barnesville as he rushed for 163 yards and two touchdowns as the Shamrocks downed Monroe Central.

Malachi Rose-Burton charted 62 yards rushing and a score and threw for 78 yards for the Seminoles.

RAYLAND — Derek Carter had a night to remember as he raced for 217 yards rushing and six touchdowns and East Liverpool upended Buckeye Local.

Seth Richardson tossed for 106 yards and a touchdown for the Panthers.

PINE GROVE — Kalyb McQuery ran for 126 yards and Joel Lewis added 99 as Frontier shut out Valley.

Fort Frye 58, Caldwell 7

BEVERLY — Zane Wallace was Mr. Everything as he ran for 103 yards and two scores, returned a punt 64 yards for a score and took an interception 35 yards for a touchdown as Fort Frye walloped Caldwell.

Ian Ellis was 6-for-6 for 153 yards passing and a score and Brady Schilling caught three passes for 92 yards and a touchdown.

CAMBRIDGE — The Bobcats overcame a 12-0 deficit to rally past Coshocton.

Cody Moore threw for 127 yards and a touchdown and Travon Jeffrey ran for 126 yards for Cambridge.

WINTERSVILLE — Trevor Fante ran for 166 yards on 24 carries and three touchdowns, while quarterback Sam Mazar supplied 115 yards and a rushing touchdown to lead Indian Creek past Beaver Local.

Weir 53, Edison 7

RICHMOND — Sebastian Spencer led the Red Riders with 124 passing yards and two touchdowns, while he amassed 75 yards and three scores on the ground as Weir thumped Edison.

Jamari Bass put up 75 yards rushing and a touchdown for the Riders.
