PREP ROUNDUP: Paden City Volleyball Going for 3-Peat in OVAC Class 1A

PADEN CITY — The Paden City volleyball team will have a chance at a 3-peat after defeating Conotton Valley in straight sets 25-18, 25-12, 25-16.

Mallory Yeater supplied three points, 11 kills, 15 assists, and 13 digs for the Wildcats while Cora Anderson had 10 points, five aces and nine digs.

Paden City will face off against Frontier on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Union Local

WOODSFIELD — Kalista Friday turned in 10 points and five aces as Monroe Central swept Barnesville and River in an OVAC Consolation tri-match.

Trista Morris delivered nine kills, 12 points and 16 digs in the victories.

Allison Bennett accumulated 36 assists and 22 digs as River defeated Barnesville but fell to Monroe Central.

Katie Straub turned in 14 points and Lacey Cordery tallied 28 digs for the Pilots.

GLEN DALE — Zara Zervos and Riley McIntyre each scored a goal and John Marshall downed Wheeling Central, 2-0 in prep girls soccer action on Tuesday.

Jhett Corley collected seven saves for the Monarchs and Gia Campbell stopped 14 shots for the Knights.

Beaver Local 2, Weir 2

EAST LIVERPOOL — Jules Gladowski scored a pair of goals for Weir, while Jordan Palmer and Jensen Britt scored for Beaver Local as the two teams played to a stalemate.

Bella Aperfine and Megan Cramer dished out assists for the Red Riders and Alexis Adams stopped eight shots.

Hailey Russel made 10 saves for the Beavers.
