COLLEGE ROUNDUP: WLU Men Cruise to Victory

ELKINS — The No. 14-ranked West Liberty University men forced 25 turnovers and drained 14 3-pointers Saturday in running away to a 103-73 victory against Davis & Elkins at the McDonnell Center.

Pat Robinson led the Hilltoppersí scoring parade with 21 points, six rebounds and three assists while Will Yoakum added 18 points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals.

Junior guard Preston Boswell made a run at a triple double with 10 points, a WLU season-high nine assists, six rebounds and a pair of steals.

Wheeling 84, W.Va. Wesleyan 70

BUCKHANNON — Junior guard Jordan Reid posted 20 points on 8 of 9 shooting and added six boards and four assists to lead Wheeling past W.Va. Wesleyan. WOMEN

West Liberty 86, Davis & Elkins 78

ELKINS — Taylor Johnson led five double-figure scorers for the Hilltoppers with 20 points and eight rebounds in a win against Davis & Elkins. Morgan Brunner went 8-for-8 from the foul line and finished with 13 points.

Wheeling 67, W.Va. Wesleyan 58

BUCKHANNON — A second half surge helped the Wheeling University women’s basketball team earn a win at West Virginia Wesleyan.

Sophomore forward Lilly Ritz led the team with 17 points and eight rebounds. Freshman guard Maura Castelluci scored 13 points while senior forward Lauren Lipscomb added 10.
