PREP ROUNDUP: Linsly Gets Past Magnolia

NEW MARTINSVILLE — The Linsly boys basketball team scored 23 points in the fourth quarter to secure a victory 51-49 victory over Magnolia in an OVAC Class 3A championship consolation game.

Marshall Taylor and Luca DiLorenzo led the way for the Cadets (14-7) as they each compiled 13 points.

For the Blue Eagles, Qwailei Turner turned in a game-high performance of 29 points.

Wellsville 64

Steubenville Catholic 45

STEUBENVILLE — Justin Wright paced Wellsville with 21 points in a victory over Steubenville Catholic. Jaxon Brewer contributed 14 points for the Tigers while Luke Green netted 13.

Luca Connor had 10 to lead the Crusaders.

Bellaire 63, Toronto 57

BELLAIRE — Three Bellaire players scored in double figures in a victory over Toronto. Trenton Wilson led the way for Bellaire with 18 points.

David Zwack and Owen Ward each tallied 17 points for the Big Reds.

For the Red Knights, Brandon Mayas turned in a game-high 29 points while Nolan Clegg added 13 and Anthony Myslinsky netted 11.

Oak Glen 78

St. Clairsville 73

NEW CUMBERLAND — Oak Glen overcame a 14-point halftime deficit to stun St. Clairsville. Jacob Clark had a game-high 26 points for the Golden Bears (13-7). Gage Patterson and Zach Taylor each chipped in 17 points while Brayden Mineard secured 13.

For the Red Devils, Nate Harris (21 points), Drew Sefsick (18), Brett Vike (16) and Will Balgo (11) all scored in double figures.

RAYLAND — Ty Long netted 12 points to help River rally past Buckeye Local. Brody Lollathin had 10 points for the Pilots.

For the Panthers, Jake Mayle had 17 points and Hayden Taylor contributed with 13.

COLUMBUS — Ava Bruner compiled a team high 19 points as East Richland Christian defeated Grand Lake Christian during the Independent Christian Schools of Ohio state tournament. Halle Hastings was also solid for the Lions with 13 points while Kara Dickinson chipped in 12.

East Richland will take on Bowling Green Christian in the semifinals tonight.
