Wheeling Park Volleyball Splits Tri-Match
PARKERSBURG — Parkersburg swept Wheeling Park in a tri-match but the Patriots didn’t leave empty-handed as they pulled off a sweep of their own against Huntington to improve to 15-3.
In the victory, Ally Franko accounted for 10 kills and 10 digs, while Rachel Simon charted 13 digs, seven kills and four aces and Caylin Angel added eight digs and three aces.

CAMERON — Cameron fell to Clay-Battelle but the Dragons received an outstanding performance from Audrey Bock who recorded 25 digs.
Steubenville d. Weir 25-21, 25-17, 26-24
STEUBENVILLE — Emily Allen garnered 12 points, 24 assists and five digs as Big Red downed Weir.
Anna Taylor amassed 13 kills and nine digs and Kylie Maxwell added nine kills in the win.
Weir was led by Ziona Barnes’ 10 kills and six digs.

BARNESVILLE — The invading Seminoles needed three sets to finish off the Shamrocks and pick up their 15th win in 19 tries Thursday.
The Seminoles were led by Haylyn Hines’ seven kills and three blocks. Trista Morris had seven kills and 15 digs. Abby Thompson had seven kills. Kynzi Bishop had 15 points, four aces and 9 assists. Kyra English added seven assists, 10 digs and seven points. Kalista Friday posted 30 digs.

BELLAIRE — Edison pocketed a victory over the Big Reds Thursday in a Buckeye 8 consolation match.
The Big Reds were led by Jayden Lowe’s 10 kills, 17 digs and five aces. Bryanna Beckett added 29 assists, 11 digs, four kills and two aces. Gianna Schmidt had seven aces, five kills and four digs. Allie Ault posted 10 digs and six kills. Jenna Miller was charted for 11 digs.
Paden City d. River 25-8, 25-9, 25-7
PADEN CITY — The Wildcats posted a decisive victory over the Pilots.
River was led by Rilyn Haught’s eight digs. Kiera Saksa had seven digs.
St. John Central Academy d. Trinity 25-16, 25-15, 25-11
St. John Central Academy posted its sixth win of the campaign Wednesday, sweeping visiting Morgantown Trinity.
Seniors Elizebeth Schnegg and Kyla Kull led the way for the Fighting Irish. Schnegg delivered 17 points and 19 digs while Kull added 14 points, nine digs and six assists. Jesika Henderson netted 11 points and 12 digs for the winners.
John Marshall 8, East Liverpool 3
EAST LIVERPOOL — Zara Zervos netted seven goals to lift John Marshall over East Liverpool.
Audrey Robinson also knocked in a goal for the victorious Monarchs.
Edison 5, Magnolia 0
NEW MARTINSVILLE –Maddie Brenstuhl recorded a hat trick and added an assist as Edison shut down Magnolia.
Laine Murphey dished out four assists and a goal of her own for the Wildcats, while Somer Speedy split the pipes, as well.
Emma Scott made six saves in the win.
