BELLAIRE — Jake Mayle posted a game-high 17 points as Buckeye Local secured a victory over Bellaire.

Sweep Invite

MARTINS FERRY — The Steubenville boys and girls swim teams swept an invitational. On the girls side, Isabella Phillips and Madison Beadling both claimed two individual events. Phillips won the 200 IM (2:51.61) and 100 butterfly (1:19.04). Beadling touched the wall first in the 50 freestyle (28.59) and 100 backstroke (1:13.66) for Big Red.

On the boys’s side, a pair of Purple Riders earned multiple individual honors. Tristen Blatt won the 200 freetyle (2:13.65) and 100 backstroke (1:11.45). Matt Collette tallied a win in the 100 butterfly (1:10.63) and 100 breaststroke (1:16.48).
