Linsly Girls Improve to 9-0

WEIRTON — Carleigh Grimm was unstoppable on Monday night, recording a double-double of 31 points and 19 rebounds as Linsly dominated Weir 60-39 to improve to a perfect 9-0 on the season.

Molly Heron was also key in the win with a double-double of her own with 10 points and 14 boards.

Bella Aperfine paced Weir with 12 points.

Madonna 39, Tyler Consolidated 32

WEIRTON — Venessa Alatis and Alaina Moore bucketed 12 and 11 points, respectively, to lead Madonna past Tyler Consolidated.

Caleigh Phillips paced the Silver Knights with 15 points.

Oak Glen 47, Brooke 40

WELLSBURG — Reece Enochs drained four treys and finished with 18 points as Oak Glen upended Brooke.

Maddie McKay tallied 11 points in the win.

Madison Platt paced Brooke with 19 points.

Hundred 38, Wood County Christian 26

WILLIAMSTOWN — Brianna Rinehart turned in eight points and Roxie Huggins and Addie Tuttle added seven as Hundred defeated Wood County Christian.

BOYS

Cameron 55, Valley 43

PINE GROVE — Trevor Beresford poured in 18 points and Lance Hartley added 13 to lead Cameron past Valley.

Walker Bassett paced Valley with 10 points.

Wood County Christian 63, Hundred 50

WILLIAMSTOWN — Bobby Hostutler recorded a double-double of 13 points and 13 rebounds but it was Wood County Christian downing Hundred.

Everett Johnson led the Hornets in scoring with 14 points.

BASEBALL

Monroe Central 8, Barnesville 6

WOODSFIELD — Wade Stoehr accounted for two singles, a double and a RBI as Monroe Central upended Barnesville.

Auston Hogue and Kade Demchak both delivered three hits with Hogue knocking in a run in the win.

Lane Lydick blasted a home run and singled while driving in four runs for the Seminoles.

Gavin Carpenter homered for the Shamrocks, while Colton Hines doubled and singled and Jake Edwards provided two singles.

Beaver Local 5, Edison 2

RICHMOND — Edison plated two runs in the fourth but was unable to push any more runs across the dish as Beaver Local downed the Wildcats.

SOFTBALL

Cambridge 6, Warren Local 3

VINCENT — Abby Man belted a home run, singled and got the win in the circle as Cambridge doubled up Warren Local.

Madison Nicky tallied two hits and Presley Dodd tripled and drove in a pair in the win.
