No. 1 Morgantown Edges No. 9 Wheeling Park
MORGANTOWN — Wheeling Park and the top-ranked Mohigans were deadlocked with 1:30 left to play when Morgantown’s Brooks Gage pulled up from 3-point land and connected to give Morgantown the lead and eventually a 58-52 triumph on Tuesday.
Avery Lee paced the Patriots with 15 points, Beau Heller tallied 12 and D.J. Saunders produced nine points, eight rebounds and seven assists.
Carson Poffenberger paced Morgantown with 22 points, Alec Poland charted 14 points and Luke Bechtel added 10.
Wheeling Central 71
Brooke 47
WELLSBURG — J.C. Maxwell poured in 27 points and Michael Toepfer delivered 15 on a trio of treys as Wheeling Central downed Brooke.
Alex Isinghood paced the Bruins with 23 points and Cole Sperlazza netted 17.
Paden City 83, Hundred 33
HUNDRED — Joel Moore lit up the scoreboard as he turned in a game-high 32 points to help Paden City down Hundred.
Ty Cain was also solid for the Wildcats with 24 points while Shane Anderson chipped in 14.
For the Hornets, Bobby Hostutler had 14 points.
GIRLS
Linsly 63, Magnolia 46
WHEELING — Carleigh Grimm produced another double-double of 19 points and 21 rebounds as Linsly took down Magnolia on Senior Night to improve its spotless record to 10-0.
Molly Heron turned in 15 points for the Cadets, followed by teammates Nevaeh Cook with 12 and Haley Heitz with 11.
Mady Winters paced Magnolia with 26 points and 16 boards, while Laneica Grimm garnered 10 points.

HUNDRED — Brianna Rinehart tallied a game-high 17 points to help Hundred defeat South Harrison.
Roxie Huggins was also solid for the Hornets as she netted 12 points.
BASEBALL
Union Local 4, Edison 3
RICHMOND — Kolby Smolira tossed a complete game with four strikeouts and five walks, while also delivering three hits and a RBI at the plate in the Jets’ win over Edison.
Dylan Higgenbotham charted a hit and a RBI for Union Local.
Matt Parsons paced the Wildcats with a single, a double and a RBI and Blake Connelly also drove in a run on one hit.
St. Clairsville 6
Steubenville 5, 10 Innings
ST. CLAIRSVILLE — After falling behind 5-4 in the top of the 10th, Braylen Blomquist singled to tie the game and teammate Tyler Tonkovich collected the walk-off single as St. Clairsville edged Steubenville in 10 innings.
Will Balgo pocketed the win in relief with five strikeouts. He also singled and drove in a run.
Tonkovich finished with a triple, a single and a RBI, while Blomquist wrapped up his day with two hits and two RBI.
Luke Jozwiak paced the offense with a pair of doubles and two singles.
Kyle Fleming garnered two hits and two RBI for Big Red.
SOFTBALL
Edison 16, St. Clairsville 9
RICHMOND — Audrey Scott blasted a home run, delivered two singles and drove in six runs as Edison upended St. Clairsville.
Hannah Christoff plated three runs on a home run and a pair of singles in the victory.
Abby Salisbury homered and drove in four for the Red Devils, while teammate Dekotah Namack homered, singled and had three RBI and Jaskowiak singled and plated a run.
Cambridge 24, Barnesville 0
CAMBRIDGE — Cambridge busted out 21 hits en route to a shut out victory over Barnesville.
Navah Smith belted a home run and a single while bringing in four runs for the Bobcats.
Madison Mickey also supplied a double and three singles.
