JM Girls Rout Magnolia

MOUNDSVILLE — The John Marshall girls played a dominating first half and coasted to victory at home on Senior Night by a convincing 66-17 final over Magnolia.

The Monarchs scored 22 points in the first quarter and 20 in the second all while limiting visiting Magnolia to just 8 and held a commanding 42-8 advantage by halftime.

Catherine Hunnell led a balanced JM attack with 15 points and a pair of triples. Ava Blake finished second with 12 and Kayli Derrow netted 11. The Monarchs made six shots from range when all was said and done.

Shaela Holliday led the Blue Eagles with six points.

Cameron 58, Madonna 17

WEIRTON — The Dragons were deadly from deep, nailing nine 3-points as they scored a convincing win on the road.

Lili Neely led three double-digit scorers with 14 points, followed by Ashlynn VanTassell (12 points) and Emilee Dobbs (12). Neely (2), Kenzie Clutter (2), Dobbs (2), Aubre Cain-Loy, VanTassell and Gracie Carter all connected from deep as the Dragons led 40-2 at halftime.

Vanessa Alatis paced Madonna with 11 points.

Hundred 66, Paden City 19

HUNDRED — Addie Tuttle impressed with 20 points and 10 steals as the Hornets downed Paden City.

Tuttle was supported by 17 points and 14 rebounds from Roxie Huggins. Rachel Snedden (9 points, 11 assists), Ashlynn Peters (8 points) and Summer Morris (7 points, 10 rebounds) all also contributed to the triumph.

Hundred book-ended the game with 22 points in the first quarter and 20 in the fourth.

McKenzie Thomas led the Wildcats with 10 points.

South Harrison 40, Valley 39

PINE GROVE — Winter Higgins bucketed 20 points but Valley was barely clipped by South Harrison.

Kimberly Soles impressed with 11 points for the Lumberjills and Charity Bates supplied 10 rebounds.

Buckeye Local 45, Bridgeport 22

BRIDGEPORT — With the score deadlocked at 4 after one quarter, the Panthers went on a 20-4 run in the second quarter to take command.

Brynn McKeever scored a game-high 15 points for Buckeye Local. Emily Valuska added eight.

The Bulldogs were led by Kaylee Bain and Hailee Aubrey with eight each.

BOYS

Paden City 58, Hundred 37

HUNDRED — Jeremiah Thomas stuffed th stat sheet as the Wildcats prevailed on the road.

Thomas scored a game-high 19 points to go along with four rebounds, six assists and three steals. Brandon hizer offered top support with a 15-point, 10-rebound double-double. Shane Anderson led the team with 13 rebounds and finished with 9 points.

Everett Johnson scored 12 points for the Hornets.
