GENEVA, Ohio — Wheeling Central Catholic graduate Kenadee Wayt competed in preliminary races in three events as a member of the Mount Union Track team Thursday at the NCAA Division III Championships.

Wayt qualified for the finals in the 4×400 relay as a member of Mount Union’s fourth-place team in 3:47.49. She was also on a 4×100 relay team that finished 11th in its preliminary race with a time of 47.05.

Individually, Wayt placed 19th in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.72.

Wayt will compete in the 100-meter dash preliminaries today with the possibility of advancing to Saturday’s finals. She will also run Saturday in the 4×400 relay finals.

The top eight finishers in each event earn All-American honors.
