The Moundsville Country Club hosted the annual Honeywell Junior Golf Tournament on Monday. All local area junior golfers were invited to play 18 holes, eat free hot dogs and chips and have a great day of golf all for free at the beautiful Moundsville Country Club. This event usually signals the start to yet another year of high school and junior high golf seasons in the Ohio Valley. A special thanks goes out to the Honeywell corporation, who has sponsored this event and helped junior golf for many years. Winning the girls division with a score of 84 was Grace Green and Taylor Fulton placed second. The Boys Division 12 years old and under was won by Braydon Kempkins with a score of 98, while Leo Zambori finished second. The Boys Division 13-14 year olds was won by Will Koegler who carded a 78, followed by Will Fuller with an 81 and Brandt Blake with an 88. Luke Simonett shot an 81 and took home the 15-16 year old division followed by Raymond Steed with an 81 and Luke Bell with a score of 90. Gavin Goodrich was victorious in the 17-18 division with a card of 72, while Justin Doerr placed second with a 73 and Ethan Cook was third with a 74.
