Spring Mills Forfeits Four Games
PARKERSBURG, W.Va. – The WVSSAC has informed Spring Mills High School that it must forfeit four varsity football games due to the participation of an ineligible player.
The games forfeited are the Cardinals’ wins between week 3 and week 6 against South Hagerstown, Musselman, North Hagerstown, and Washington. Spring Mills’ game against Wheeling Park on Sept. 6 is unaffected.
The WVSSAC ratings, set for release on Tuesday, will reflect the changes in the results. Spring Mills, who were ranked No. 2 in Class AAAA, is projected to drop to ninth or 10th. Wheeling Park (6-3) was last ranked as the No. 3 seed, right below the Cardinals.
