Spring Mills Head Coach Placed On Paid Leave Pending Investigation; Two Players Suspended
SPRING MILLS — Spring Mills boys basketball head coach Luke Samples has been placed on paid leave pending investigation into an incident that took place at The Greenbrier over the weekend.
The Greenbrier was unable to provide a comment or further insight on the incident when contacted on Tuesday afternoon.
Two Spring Mills players were also suspended for their actions at The Greenbrier.
The suspensions were a decision made by Spring Mills High School, not the West Virginia Secondary School Activities Commission.
The Cardinals were at the luxury resort for the Battle for the Springhouse tournament, where they finished as runner-ups.
They defeated Greenbrier East, 60-37, to advance to the championship match, where they fell to Morgantown, 59-45.
