Local Roundup: Shamrocks Shine At Clair-Mar; Panthers Top Harrison Central
POWHATAN – Barnesville prepped for Wednesday’s MOVL Tournament by collecting five victories Tuesday at Clair-Mar Golf Course.
The Shamrocks finished nine holes with a four-player score of 154, which was seven shots better than Martins Ferry. River ended at 169 and Caldwell had 170. Shadyside totalled 172 and Union Local 173.
Barnesville’s Hayden Treadway, Shadyside’s Brandon O’Grady, River’s Kaden Hunt and Martins Ferry’s Leo Zambori all tied for medalist honors with 36s.
Dylan Gallagher fired a 37 and Brady Gallagher a 38 for the Shamrocks.
Buckeye Local Tops Harrison Central
AT BEC WOOD HILLS, the Panthers (8-5) used medalist Dugan Dobrovich’s 38 to defeat the Huskies, 165-180.
Cash Meadows led Harrison Central with a 39.

Wheeling Central Handles Parkersburg
PARKERSBURG — The Maroon Knights took down the Big Reds Tuesday, 9-1.
Seneca Heller tallied a hat trick with three goals. She also had an assist.
Mariah Ratcliffe and Loni Kusic each put through a pair of goals. Elizabeth Steele and Rylee Wright each scored one goal. Wright also had two assists. Elah Konkle finished with three.
Bella Fizsimmons had a dozen saves in-goal.

John Marshall Picks Up Wins In Tri-Match
WEIRTON — The Monarchs defeated Harrison Central in two sets, 27-25, 25-15, and defeated Weir in two sets, 25-16, 25-15.

Seminoles Sweep Tigers
WOODSFIELD — Monroe Central took down Shadyside on Tuesday, 25-19, 25-15, 25-13.
Giovanna Hines had six kills to lead Shadyside. Aubrey Nippert finished with five kills and 10 digs.
Ava Mercer led the Tigers with 11 digs. Ali Weatherson led the team with 19 assists and two blocks.
