West Virginia forward Logan Routt suspended for tripping

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) — West Virginia reserve forward Logan Routt has been suspended for the first half of Saturday’s game for tripping a Texas Tech player this week.
West Virginia athletic director Shane Lyons announced the suspension Wednesday.
Routt was ejected early in the second half of Monday’s 81-50 loss at Texas Tech. While sitting on the bench, Routt tripped Texas Tech’s Matt Mooney, who fell to the floor.
Routt is averaging 2.2 points and 2.1 rebounds per game.
West Virginia (10-13, 2-8 Big 12) hosts Texas (12-10, 4-5) on Saturday night.
