Poetry Returns to Lunch With Books

WHEELING -- The Ohio County Public Library's next Lunch With Books program will feature "End Lines & Other Lines: Poems by David Javersak and Tesla Joseph,"

The program takes place at noon on Tuesday, Nov. 14, at the library located downtown.

Javersak returns with more poetry, but this time accompanied by his granddaughter, Tesla, who brings poems of her own, along with colorful illustrations for their joint project, "End Lines & Other Lines."

'Barbie' Showing at Moundsville Library

MOUNDSVILLE --There will be a free film showing on Monday, Nov. 13, at the Moundsville-Marshall County Public Library.

The start time will be 6 p.m., taking place in the downstairs meeting room. The feature is "Barbie," a fantasy-comedy-adventure from director Greta Gerwig.

The movie stars Margot Robbie as "She's Everything" Barbie and Ryan Gosling as "Just" Ken. In this film that brings the iconic doll to life, Barbie suffers a crisis that leads her to question her world and her existence.

This 2023 film is rated PG-13 and runs for 116 minutes. Call 304-845-6911 for more information. The Moundsville Library is located at the corner of Fifth Street and Tomlinson Avenue.

Annual Stifel Holiday Tea is Tuesday

WHEELING -- Welcome the holiday season with an afternoon tea in one of Wheeling's grand, historic mansions.

An annual tradition, the Stifel Holiday Tea takes place from 2-4 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, at Oglebay Institute's Stifel Fine Arts Center.

The event is free and open to the public. Socialize with friends in the elegantly decorated landmark Stifel. Enjoy tea sandwiches, hot tea and cookies.

Visitors can also shop the Holiday Art Show and Sale and Festival of Trees.
